The city boasts some of the best surfing spots in the whole Portugal. Autumn is one of the best moment of the year to catch some waves in Sagres.
Apart from surfing, there are many other activities such as hiking, running, kitesurfing, windsurfing, yoga and watching the sunset/sunrise from the many miradouri.
Besides natural spectacles, cities also offers monuments and cultural sites to visit, such as the Sagres fortress and Cape St. Vincent (considered the end of the world by sailors of the past).
How to reach Sagres
By flight
The closest airport to Sagres is Faro International Airport. If you arrive from Milan, you’re in luck since there are cheap flights available with Ryanair (25€). From here, you can:
Train/Flixbus: Take the train or Flixbus from the airport to Lagos, then switch to a local bus to Sagres. Let us know your arrival time so we can arrange a pick-up from the Sagres bus station
Taxi: You can take a taxi directly to the villa, which takes around 1h 30min. If you’d like to share a ride with someone from the villa, contact us and we’ll connect you with others arriving on the same day.
By car
If you are up for a roadtrip, you can join Caterina and her lovely dog Ollie from Milan to Sagres, passing through Grenoble, Montpellier, and Barcelona. Reach out to us for more details.
